Friend and neighbors daughter needed to borrow my gate opener for one hour. I said that’s all you have because I have errands to run. Turns out that within 10 min she dropped it and broke. Said she would go get New one for me. As it happens...I went 6 days without a way to get out of complex, and upon return of new One, no apology, no thank you. My therapist told me to write her a letter expressing my feelings, so as not to hold them in; either give to her or not. I chose to give… read more
Thank you @A MyMSTeam Member! Much appreciated. Don’t be afraid tho to tell your landlord how you feel. Against Tenant rights laws to pull any trickery on you. Keep that in mind. :-)
You’re better off - that was extremely inconsiderate and you don’t need friends like that. I know it’s hard when they’re a neighbor. I have s neighbor who no longer speaks to me and after 5 years I still don’t know what I did to offend him but when I see him, o choose to be the better person and at least wave !
How very rude and thoughtless of her.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. Sadly, I've experienced similar with my landlord who lives next door, too. It's amazing how disrespectful people are these days - even more so when they know what extra challenges we're facing, and just can't think to care beyond themselves.
I'm glad you got it off your chest - I have written numerous letters to my landlord to "get it out" so I can "let it go" but I never give them to her and therefore things never get any better! I would give them, but we're trying to move anyway, so my partner says to just let it go and be patient. That is much easier for him though than for me! When I get frustrated I channel that energy into packing more boxes for our storage unit so that when moving day comes, it's not too much for me to handle. Can't wait, though! Being around toxic neighbors is no way to live!
Hang in there, and if you ever want to vent to each other, I'm here! :-) XX
