My neurologist suggested i try it. Its supposed to help with balance and walking which I've been having trouble with.

My neurolgust who is a Harvard , Stanford brainiac says it works on channels in the brain and does more then just help with walking but am to chicken to try it as seem to get every side effect from every med I ever try.

Well I've mentioned many times on this forum that I'm like the poster child for fampyra (ampyra to the US folks). And it has done all it was supposed to, I walk faster and for longer periods of time, exactly what it's for. And this is a timed result not just me guessing. I have experienced no side effects so can't comment on that.

I have been on it 4 years, can't walk without it, never had a seizure, and the actual reports of seizures are beyond extremely rare.

“Oral @ Ampyra/F@ ampyra is usually administered twice daily in a dose of 10 mg. An increase in dosage should always be approved by a specialist, as high amounts of this drug can induce seizures. The most common side effects of this treatment include allergic reactions, insomnia, dizziness, urinary tract infections, throat pain, constipation, headache, and nausea.”

I’ve taken @ aubagio tablet 1/day and @ ampyra 2/day 12 hours apart for ~3months. Video at 2 minute mark tells how to test @ ampyra to determine if it is working for you Incase you can’t tell.
I have had no side effects. And works just well enough to keep me on it.

Before taking it I could not feel my right leg at all. Now I can walk a little. The thing that helped me themost is ab exercising. I use medacineballs four times a week. I also use my hand exercise equipment.a steong grip so if I start to lose my balance.
