Hello, I’ve just had my first ever injection of glatiramer (generic for Copaxone). Can I drink a beer or 2?

I personally never had any issues drinking on my Copaxone injection days. However, it's different for everyone, and I would recommend seeing how your body reacts to the medication alone before adding other substances to the mix. Def ask your doctor if you are considering it though! I hope the meds work out for you

Never had an issue- a glass of wine or a beer or two is no problem.

Good advise Gomez, by the time I started copaxone I stopped drinking. That is a good question to ask. You don't want to diminish the Copaxones usefulness.

For my injection Avonex it says no alcohol and I don't drink anyway. I would asked my doctor first.

I’ve been on copaxone for five years. Occasionally I have a margarita or some wine. I notice no problems whatsoever.
