Has anyone used a weighted blanket? I went to the dentist last week and i had xrays. When they put that heavy lead “blanket” on my torso I felt very calm. So I’m considering a blanket but wanted to get some of your thoughts. Thanks!

I like mine! But I'm not using it a lot this summer. I will resume in fall. There are some great reasonably priced options on Etsy.com - you can pick your fabrics, choose different weights, and choose between plastic or glass beads. I love mine: glass beads, slinky fleece on one side and cooling cotton on the other. I've found that it helps at night to keep me from tossing and turning so I get very restful sleep. It's the only time I fall asleep in one position and wake up in the morning in the same spot! XX

I was considering a weighted blanket as well, let me know if it helps! I doubt I would use it much in the hot summer months but definitely want to try it this fall/winter

I've made many for people with autism and migraines and even Parkinson's. I love the way they feel. I think a 12 pound blanket is a very nice weight. Of course everyone is different.
