Has anyone spoke to a Herbalist or taking any herbal temedies for their MS?
Yep - I take a ton of herbal supplements and drink a lot of herbal teas. I have a great integrated medicine DR at Stanford (who has MS herself!) who has me on mostly a homeopathic path for treating my MS although I am also currently on Tecfidera (my only prescription), with a personal goal of one day weaning myself off that since I've found it difficult to tolerate (I'm very sensitive to chemicals). So far, I've been able to combat most of my MS symptoms so they are more manageable through her tutelage. It's a very personalized program though which is important since this disease impacts us all uniquely.
So for me, yep, it was a godsend to get connected to her a few years ago post diagnosis - and I would definitely recommend it if you have a preference of homeopathic remedies. Essential oils have also REALLY (!) surprised me in their effectiveness, as have other homeopathic services such as acupuncture, cranialsacral, and chiropractic. I'm a pretty skeptical person, so I have been very pleasantly surprised by how well my body has reacted to this more natural approach. XX
One of my doctors told me that I couldn't take any herbal things as long as I was on my medication. Don't know why but that what he told me..
Only tumeric but it's a spice from a plant
