I have SPMS and though I was diagnosed with MS 40 years ago and
have had double vision when I look to sides for more years than I can remember,
my vision is changing, and opthalmologist is talking about putting prisms in
my glasses. Has anyone had success with prisms?
Prisms completely changed my world with double vision - mine was incredibly disorienting and I was shocked when my ophthalmologist held a prism in front of my problem eye the instant difference it made. Now that a prism is in my glasses I don't have any issues with the double vision anymore as long as I'm wearing the lenses. They can be adjusted for varied strength just like a normal prescription, so I actually had mine lowered after awhile with a strong prism that to an extent helped 're-train' my eye. I highly recommend giving it a shot! Easy fix for a huge increase in comfort and functionality
