Nothing wrong with excluding it to see what happens but the gluten thing is a strange one,a lot of people don't realise it's actually the insecticides/herbicides that main stream wheat is sprayed with that cause the health problems rather than the gluten and by avoiding the flour etc they fix the problem in a round about way.

I find gluten has more of an inflammatory impact on me: eczema acts-up, more brain fog, get tired and lethargic and just don't feel well. I have found, though, an OTC solution to curbing the ill-effects of gluten called Gluten Cutter (I'll try to send a pic). I'll eat different types of pastas (quinoa, black bean, brown rice, etc) instead of semolina flour pasta which is the traditional pasta. I cannot eat gluten free pizza though. Its a totally different "animal" with gluten-free crust that I do not enjoy. Everything in moderation

I do not process gluten well or corn, but my issues started with my stomach. I am actually getting my microbiome tested to see if there is something else going on that needs to be fixed. I seem to personally do best with mostly fruits and vegetables with some good quality meats (mostly poultry and fish - the easiest to digest). I also avoid sugars and dairy expect on rare occasions. I am in the process of healing my gut. Have you tried the elimination diet by any chance?

I do have issues now sometimes when I eat a lot of gluten because I typically avoid it. My DR recommended the MITO food plan specifically for MS and it really helps me. I've been on it for almost 2 years now and I can tell when I eat off plan. My goal is 85% adherence - that prevents most of the issues when I do decide to eat a lot of gluten! For example, next month is the local mac n cheese fest!!! :-O
With MS, each of us is impacted differently. I used the elimination diet to find food sensitivities that were causing a lot of itching and other "fun" symptoms - once I got those out of my diet things got a lot better! BTW, those items came back negative on the standard allergy panel test - but the elimination diet really helps to pinpoint the foods our individual bodies can't tolerate. Good luck to you on your journey! XX
