YES! I highly recommend it! I have an integrated med DR who I consider the quarterback of my care team. Incidentally she also has MS, so she REALLY understands which is extra special, but she treats patients with many illnesses, not just MS. What I love is that functional medicine looks at the root causes of symptoms and ALL treatment options, not just pharmaceuticals so it's a very balanced and comprehensive approach. As far as symptom management goes, I have made so much progress under her tutelage over the past 2+ years and have had no new symptoms emerge. I've changed so many aspects of my life (from diet to household & personal products, etc) and my symptoms are so much more manageable now. She teaches an 8 week class that taught me so much! I'm currently helping her get those course materials online so everyone can access them for free.
