I seem to have developed these last few months a temperature balance problems, in that I've began to sweat, clothes drenching, hair soaked running down my face sweat. Yes I'm female, yes I've gone through all the female stuff. This ain't that! It's so weird. I've seen some documentation on temperature regulation issues with MS patients and I wonder if anyone else has this issue
I have noticed in the past, say a drop of water from a glass drips on me and my sensation was that I'd been burned… read more

Lack of thermoregulation is a common issue for MSer's.

I am almost never the right temp! I spend every day moving the thermostat up or down 1-3* and sleep with an overhead fan. Lots of stripping off of clothes lol!

I know there are cooling vest that you can wear to help keep cool. Some insurances will cover all or part of it.

Mine is about 4 pm to 7 pm. I feel like I am on fire. A friend whose husband rides his bicycle and afterwards he cools down by doing a cool foot soak. I plan to give it a try. I did see a mention of a cool vest. I inquired but never received a response. Anyone know about a cooling vest? TY.

@A MyMSTeam Member you could get a window a/c unit for the bedroom or an interior unit. I think you "deserve" it to have a place where you are able to keep your core cool and do various activities in your own room!

I don't find my cooling vest helpful at all. It's so heavy and in FLaDuh the ice packs melt almost immediately. I find the cooling neck ties and my cooling hat better. These can be found online, in construction clothing stores, maybe Home Depot (I haven't looked). Cooling items can be gotten FREE in the spring from the MS Foundation.
