It a sensation that feels like your being squeezed. I use to get them but I haven’t had one in a long time.

The MS hug is a symptom of having MS. It creeps you out, at least it did me, when they arise but you may never experience one either. I know mine occurred when my stomach muscles all contracted and wouldn't rebound. It creeped me out so much, I asked my neur what was up. That's when I found myself shirtless and standing in front of a bunch of doctors who were all neurologists but not MS specialists. One of them would walk up to me, press my muscles then scurry back to the other doctors all watching my bare chest but none of them knew what they saw. A doctor said it would probably go away so I did my own research and read about the MS hug and found they were a symptom of MS and were rather common. I found you can ask to be prescribed muscle relaxers to help.

I had a VERY BIG ONE a few months back, it was my first one. It felt like a HORRIFIC squeeze such as late labor contractions.
After the first initial one I had about 35 a day for about a week maybe two. They were not as intense, just uncomfortable. As the days passed they got less intense and less frequent.
