Ibuprofen and aspirin are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ,they dampen the body’s inflammatory response, which you need,it's the bodies natural reponse, This of course depends on the why you are taking it in the first place
Paracetamol, which is a painkiller but is not an anti-inflammatory, is a better choice.
This of course depends on the why you are taking it in the first place and if you need anti flam or just pain relief

Can't say I have knowledge on immunity but I know from experience they gave me terrible mouth ulcers, so what's it doing to our insides? (Rhetorical question.)

Hi @CherylWaltmanNavarette! I know long term use may have the possibility to injure stomach/kidneys/Liver. I have not heard nor read that ibuprofen could aggravate the immune system.

I take Excedrin for pain and need to seriously consider weaning myself off to a bare minimal.

Fellow Msers, Anyone have knowledge on this question? It's a good question.

Best,

Danny 😎

@A MyMSTeam Member...LOL! True, but I answered with my thinking of the question as a "permanent effect that would be a negative". In that regard, no ibuprofen will not have a permanent, negative effect on the immune system. On the contrary, it has a beneficial effect on it when the system is inflamed.

But, your wordsmith point is very well taken!
In the immediate term, yes it does have an effect on the immune system in taking down inflammation.

I thank you for your very gentle reminder 😎 🕉
