Hi

Has anyone tried B12 injection/s- someone recommended this to me, not sure if it's a good idea to have it?

Just a liittle info on high dose Vitamin D...If you're not being monitored be careful. You can get vitamin D toxicity...which can do severe damage to your bones. I wasn't monitored and now have issues. Get those levels checked every 6 months. My Onocologist wants me on B12...he said the oral was just fine. I take 50mg... as well as Stress formula B complex n Zinc. And 500mg Magnesium daily. I've added C to my diet. Need to get more Potassium but he wants me on it all and took me off the 5,000mg of vitamin D I'd been on since 94...I was toxic...too much n wasn't monitored...So please tell your Drs to check you at least every 6 months...its important

I think that there is no conclusive evidence that vitamin B12 deficiency/M.S are linked, unlike vitamin D3. Vitamin B12 is needed to support normal brain function though. If your blood work shows a low vitamin B12 level then getting an injection could help. Otherwise I think eating a diet that includes foods high in Vitamin B12 is a good idea or taking a Vitamin B supplement.

Extra b12 - I take sublinguals because they taste like cherry & melt in your mouth. Haven’t noticed help with fatigue but don’t get bitten by many bugs when I’m taking it. Also a little zinc helps your body absorb the supplements or injections you take.

I did do it once per request of a neurologist. I was told my “B” levels were exceptionally low.It was unremarkable. I didn’t notice anything different. What I was comparing it to was friends (without ms) said it was euphoric. It wasn’t that way for me. I have been able to bring up my “B” levels with a daily supplement. But again, I really haven’t noticed any difference. I’m still fatigued.🤷🏻‍♀️
