Personally, I was relieved at first because now I new I wasn't crazy and all the symptoms I had been reporting to my doctor for the past 15 years where valid to them now, and not me being a hypochondriac. Then after a bit I hit the crying stage and had a pity party. Then I went on to deal with it and learned all I could.

I gave my wife a high five. I was waiting on some tests at a hospital to see how big the brain tumor was that had been diagnosed by an overzealous doctor. After the high five for me living more than a short period, I asked my wife if she knew what MS was.

I cried until I figured out what it was. Now that I know, I'm good.
