I had been taking Aubagio from years but developed an issue with my liver. Now am changing medications and we are looking at either Kesimpta or Ocrevus. Just interested on thoughts, possible side effects and such
Thank you
Kesimpta doesn't require expensive infusions and steroids to go with it. It's easy and only the first shot was bad for me. I like the idea having more frequent smaller doses as well.
I've been taking Kesimpta since December 2023 and so far nothing has changed where my lesions are concerned and that was from last year's MRI results. I hope to get an MRI for this year set up on my neurologist visit in July. I feel good and am becoming more active. It works well for me .
I keep seeing all the great reviews for Kesimpta, and I was so hoping it would work for me. It was my very first DMT, just started couple mths ago, but my body evidently had a severe reaction to it. Severe roof mouth burning, teeth pain, gums swelling and painful and tongue and cheek sores. And its still here 2 mths later. Having to decide on another treatment :( But MOST people I see think Kesimpta is just great, they have low side effects
Here's a comparison between Kesimpta and Ocrevus based on the information from the knowledge base:
Kesimpta (Ofatumumab)
