My MS urologist recommended IntraStem. It is an implant that controls my bladder. It has external controls, so I can reset it if I am tending toward losing my abiltiy to hold the urge to urinate. Those controls also allow me to turn it off if I need an MRI. They have something for men that 100%controls the spincter. I have had this device for over 2 years and I have been pleased with it.

I used to take Mybetric, but still did not control my overactive bladder. I went to a new DR that specializes in women’s bladder problems. She recommended Botox for my bladder, I get injections about every 6 months. It worked amazingly! I don’t get up at night at all. No leaks during the day, unless I am getting close to the 6 month mark. Even then, a small pad takes care of it. The procedure is almost painless, just like a few little pinches, no big deal. It did not fully kick in until after the second procedure. I feel free again, no constant worry when I am out if I can get to the bathroom in time. I am free again. I am on Medicare with an advantage plan, it is covered almost completely. My out of pocket is less than I was spending on pads & diapers.

I take Myrbetriq 75mg and Toviaz 8mg and with the two I don’t have to worry about the “sudden urge to go” and usually only have to get up once during the night.

Get a supra pubic catheter, easy :to use and you’ll need one eventually ,I’m so glad to have one, recommend to everyone . Vicky
