earlier on i did but i learned how to handle them so they would go away quickly and i still do it if i feel one coming on/i immediately think of good things either in the past or present/i concentrate on them very strongly and pray/and the onslaught of depression and anxiety go away cuz the concentration on the good things make them go away. it is a learning process/you have to figure out how to concentrate and pray./it takes a while to get to that stage but when you so, you can feel it coming and you can stop it.
For me, the past year has been especially hard, probably the hardest of my long journey, since 1955, with MS. I blame. the cognitive flare of last Spring for the decline, as I have been basically without symptoms until then. I feel like I have lost so much during the last year & sometimes get to feeling really sorry for myself. Then I have to remind myself that there are others much worse than me, to snap out of the funk!
Not for about 10 yrs but 10 years ago I did have a challenging and difficult period when I was majorily depressed.
God Bless Stay Strong
In the beginning of my journey I was so busy I barely had time to think. My priorities were to survive. Now when I have trouble sleeping I generally log on and see who I can help. That takes my mind off of what I can't control for myself.
God Bless Stay Strong.
