I was diagnosed in 2011 and had began career in management in 2004. All was good until 2021 when I asked for RA. Now my career is over & they have destroyed my entire family’s future. I never knew asking for help would have cost me my entire wellbeing and loss of everything I loved. I have been lied to and continue to be drained. They want me to give up or die. They have more money so it doesn’t matter how much it costs as long as they destroy me. I loved my job and respected my employer. I went… read more

Hello @A MyMSTeam Member. Sad to read your remark that 'they don't care about us'. The world is getting mean all around. The West seemed permanently stable but turns out it isn't stable after all. I can read and hear about this shift to the right but I can't grasp the 'why' or the 'how'. Excuse me for extrapolating rather widely from your remark, couldn't resist.

Sorry to hear. I'm up in MN and found a good disability discrimination lawyer who won a decent settlement fo me. It's not easy but a good lawyer won't take a thing unless you and they win. That's the first sign they are a good lawyer and just not out to make money off you.

Theresa, I would go to the ACLU for representation. Your case is truly a case of discrimination. They handle that and I don’t think they charge. Those SOB’s how dare them talk to you like that. Not only do you have a discrimination case but labor laws. Whatever happen to the Americans for disabilities act. I am sorry you are goi g thru this. Your employer needs to pay. Call the ms society. I would stop

Get FMLA, have a personal talk. But the FMLA will help to protect your job.

HR is not your friend and really are there to look out for the company. I learned that the tough way and they make it seem like they care but they really don't. It's about doing what is best for the company and making it look like they care about employees. They didn't give RA because they think it will cost them money. Best advice I was given is don't trust HR.
