I had a lumbar puncture (spinal tap ) that confirmed MS along with MRI and history of symptoms.
As fun as it sounds.. a spinal tap where they get some spinal fluid to do some kind of "band test"
should be able to confirm and diagnose. Thats what happened to me anyhow..
Yeah. I've been going through so many tests trying to eliminate everything else. I have the lessions and plague buildup. Now I have pain in my legs. Mostly the right. I also have a sibling with MS. IT Just seems obvious what I have. I can't get disability without a diagnosis. Frustrating
I lost the ability to walk normally and hold things in my right side (I know now that MS effects my right side the most) for several days in a row prompting me to go to a doctor who misdiagnosed me with a brain tumor but that put me first in line for a MRI at the hospital. The MRI showed much plaque, and the initial diagnosis was MS but I had a week's worth of tests to eliminate diseases with known tests to determine their existence. During that week I had a lumbar puncture. All signs didn't not point to MS, and I was diagnosed with MS.
Mine was spinal tap and MRI
