I once drank gallons of caffeinated beverages on a monthly basis due to a high stress job. Since my MS diagnosis and medication, I can't have the least bit of caffeine. If I do, I'm awake for 36 to 48 hours straight. Why? There are studies on how caffeine can help an MS patient. But I can't find anything about MS and the inability to tolerate any caffeine.
@A MyMSTeam Member I am the same, drank coffee all day at work. My taste for coffee changed after I hit the menopause, for me it was a coffee-pause 🤣 I can now drink one cup of good coffee in the morning and no more ☕️
Thank you so much. I am grateful...

Well, a full cup of coffee would ensure that I would remain awake through every minute of the following 48 hours. Weird thing is this only started when my MS was diagnosed and I ended up on a bunch of drugs to treat various symptoms. I don't miss coffee, which I only drank for its effects--definitely not for the taste. But I do miss tea, especially iced tea and Thai iced tea, which I loved.this
We can all react differently to things. Maybe it's just your body changing on you.
