Members responded with hope and curiosity to the question about eventually stopping MS medications, with several sharing that their doctors gave them the green light to stop around age 60 after years of stable MRIs. A recurring theme was that stopping DMTs may be linked to hormonal changes after menopause and a naturally calming immune system with age, though many emphasized that MS remains unpredictable. Several members also shared supportive wellness habits like acupuncture, meditation, exercise, cannabis for sleep and pain, and time in nature as ways to manage ongoing symptoms even after stopping medication.

I've read that as we age, our immune system weaken so MS isn't as much as a problem. Which means DMTs shouldn't be necessary either.
