sometimes i wake up and think of all the things that are left to do and i just want to be in bed. and all day i drag my feet because i'm just exhausted. anyone else?
Yes yes yes. It is so frustrating that everything is just sooo taxing. I agree with Anne, make sure you have at least one day where you just get to lounge around the house and do nothing but things that make you feel good. I have also just given myself a required nap time every day. Otherwise, I won't make it to the end.
You bet I do. I am slowing myself down and doing things only for me and really only one big thing a day. Take an MS pajama day and pamper yourself occasionally. I love it and everyone understands why I am in my Pjs all day because I have a good "excuse" and boy are they all jealous of me and my spa pampering pj days. Good luck.
I agree about the nap scenario... I tend to go to bed late due to teenage kids and their activities... and up early due to kids and school as well as my work- also at a school... but i have started to get ready for work and ge tthe kids on the bus and then rest for half an hour before getting in my car to go and that silent few minutes is so good for me... likewise I get off before my kids are out of school so i try to go home and rest till they are off the bus and that second rest time is a blessinh as well and gets me thru till bed time most days.
I used to be the exact same way. I stayed in bed ALL the time except to eat and go use the restroom. Not to long ago, I decided enough was enough and got it in my head that I was going to get out of that bed and at least sit up and share my life with my family. (they only ever seen me in bed) Since that day, i've started PT and going to the Y when I can get the strength to do so. I am taking NO meds except vitamins for the MS. MS meds always made me feel worse!! I'm now going to walk in the Walk for MS in Indianapolis. I believe in myself enough to make the one mile walk, at least. For some reason, I believe that God has a reason for me being here and it's not for me to just lay around all the time, but to get out and get the word out for people that don't understand what MS is and what it does to a person's body and mind!
There are many days that I can't even think about accomplishing anything. Household chores seem overwhelming & it's just so frustrating to know what I used to be able to do compared to what I'm capable of doing now. I even feel guilty at times thinking that I should be doing more. Little tasks just seem daunting. Oh how life has changed!
