I have a lesion on my cervical spine from C3 - C6. My spinal cord has atrophied. I have noticed in the last few months my neck will "get stuck" and when it pops back it's loud and shoots a pain up the back of my head and neck. Does anyone else have this problem? If so what can be done if anything?

Was just told my cervical spine has atrophied from cervical spine lesion C-2,I get feeling of severe swelling on right upper back.pain shoots up like spikes to head then a day or two of that from waist down feel like Im in a vise also my arms from elbow to tips of fingers. My neuro says although I have no new lesions( we believe because of BG 12),its from atrophy of cervical spine. He saysIm in the beginning of secodary progressive.I thought all this time only new lesions could cause you to next stage?

I don't think that's it. I know what L'hermitte's is and this is different. You can't help but look down at times or up and that's when it locks up. Then when it pops out of the locked position it shoots a pain up the back of my head. This issue may be something totally separate from my MS.
