Contact her case manager-is she covered through Long term care/Medicaid? if so she should automatically have coverage through a private vendor who will discreetly send her supplies which will cover her personal issues. Typically they call me monthly to place my order and send the order out the following day via UPS. Extremely confidential and convenient. No charge.

Save your store receipts and turn them in as a medical expense if you choose to itemize come tax time.

Very screwed up. That's why our on line talks may help. Perhaps some one will log on and see how crazy all this confusion about health, $$ and living with a chronic disease feels for folks like us on the front line.

This just makes me so sad! Incontinence , recurring UTI's,stones are my major issues! So your telling me when my hubs now 60 actually can afford to retire I may have to divorce him so that we can survive after 38 years of being together. 37 actually married? How screwed up is the system when it forces that!

Just remember there are 2 differences MediCARE & MediCAIDE - the easiest thing is to remember Medicare is the one that you get at montly at retirement (or I'm my case SSDI disability) and Medicaid is the Aid part one that involves EBT card (new food stamps) and other benefits for low income persons
