My neurologist thinks I need pregabalin at 25mg at night for burning pain in feet & problems with mobility enabling me to exercise a little. Are you taking this drug? What dose & how is it helping/not helping? Grateful to hear any experiences 🤷♀️ x
I've been on Pregabalin for 4 years at 75mg three times daily. I can still drive and work. If I remember it takes a couple of weeks for the body to get used to it.
I am currently on a clinical trial so had to come off pregablin.I had been taking it for five months and I really do miss it.I agree with Sammy it does give a nice floaty feeling and usually slept well with it and woke feeling refreshed which was unlike Ampytripline, which I felt like a zombie.
The side effects for me were bloating and constipation but I will take it again when the trial ends.
In addition! My neurologist said the drug works as a distraction and it's quite normal to feel this sort of hit. I feel like I'm floating and a tad high if I can get away with saying that?!
Hope it suits you x
I'm on pregabalin, 300mg in an evening and recently got the ok to take an additional 100mg in the morning.
It's the 4th pain relief I've tried and the only one which has had any effect on me.
I wouldn't go as far to say I'm in less pain but it spaces me out so much in an evening I still have pain but really don't care.
I have quite a high dose 200mg am + 200 mg pm but I wouldn't be without it , I also take a pile of other tablets + morphine tablets + liquid it helps xxxxx
