Hi, I have had MS since 8/2010. In January, I experienced an episode where I became "drunk" like, really drunk! I was slurring, had no balance and could not see straight. Within about 20 min. I was totally fine. I researched the next day to see what the heck had happened. i could not find anything related to MS. I forgot about it and it happened again a few weeks ago. This one was not as bad but i was seeing double. I went to the ER because my husband thought it might be a TIA (transient… read more

Same with me and the sun. Vision worsens later in the day and if I overheat it's like someone turned my switch off. I hate the sun.

Soon as I go out into the sun ☀️, I'm drunk, unable to think, walk and am foggy. I have to quickly return to A/C and rest a few minutes. This has been happening to me for years. And it never lasts 72 hrs. Once I'm back indoors and cooled off, I'm fine. If I'm in the a/c, it never happens. I've had double vision only once. You might want to see if there's anything that triggers these symptoms for you. With me, it's heat or if I heat up my body in exercising.

Thank you everyone for sharing. As for the sun and heat, I get that too where I stumble, feel fatigue, and my vision is affected but this was very different. With the sun or heat, I just have to cool off and then I'm fine. These 2 episodes were a whole different animal. I am getting MRA's done this week. I'll keep you all posted and see if they find any blockage in my neck or brain.

12 years ago, I had cognitive and speech problems that lasted for only 8 or so hours. I was suffering from short term memory loss. Plus, I would say a word and hear what I thought I said. But in reality, I said something else. It was enough for my neurologist to treat me for it. I don't hold that 72 hour thingy as gospel. Wish you all the best☺
