Each time they put stronger primd in the lens which fixes things for about six months.
@A MyMSTeam Member Are you absolutely sure your double vision is related to your MS? When you look at yourself in the mirror do your eyes look normal like you can’t tell anything is wrong? If your answer to last question was yes then the diplopia you’re experiencing isn’t associated with your MS. If/when the number of prisms in your glasses reaches a certain number, mine was 14, then I qualified for an operation to fix the problem. That’s right, fix the problem, I’m proof it really works. Yup, when my brain could no longer compensate to keep seeing one of everything, it stopped and I started putting prisms in my glasses and seeing neuro Ophthalmologist. Prescription changed so often for awhile I just used plastic prisms they gave me at doctor’s office. I knew ahead of time what magic number was to get surgery and at that point it was still in distant future. But, as I kept adding prisms the number became realistic until one day, I reached it, 14 prisms. Surgery you get is same for crossed eyes - Strabismus. Here’s a link to information about it: https://www.aao.org/eye-health/diseases/strabis... It worked wonders for me and no more double vision, as a matter of fact my vision actually improved a little too. I’m sorry to say if your double vision is related to your MS, this surgery won’t work for you. Not everything is MS-related.
I've started to get a feeling that my eyesight wraps around the other eye , seems hard to explain but it's not nice and worse after using my computer
Four years ago I had lasik! What a waste of time and money! Not knowing I had MS or I wouldn’t have done it at all! Just picked up my second pair in a year as well. Was told my eyesight is worse than before . Please tell me something I don’t know.
Blurry 24/7 and double vision a bit.
Aggravating every day. I was also told it’s a progression of MS! Duh! I pay to hear this reminder! Grr!
After a severe case of optical neuritis, I have recurring issues that include double vision. Mine is pretty bad some days and then barely an issue at all another day. SO....now I have a full quiver of glasses to pull from because, like you, I keep getting different prescriptions! I know it's a total pain....and expensive! I'm so sorry you suffer with that too.... I've found that it's much better if I avoid stress (haha so hard!), heat, exhaustion, etc. Getting 9+ hours of restorative sleep helps too. I can tell when I've gone several days without a long deep sleep. Are you able to get financial help through insurance? I haven't been able to sadly....I keep trying!!!
Hi - Luckily no, not double vision - blurred vision though. Started off with left eye getting stuck, so looked a bit cross eyed ! But only get that now on bad days. Wishing you a quick recovery x
