MRI shows atypical lesions..doc doesn't want to diagnose me with MS..so now what do I do..
I agree. I went to an MS specialist. My neurologist thought it was MS, but it wasn't. Mine turned out to be a vitamin defiency. I see a nerve specialist next week. I have trouble with pins and needles ( it feels like) in my legs and hands. My legs are not steady and I use a walker. I would definitely check with an MS Specialist.
I think @A MyMSTeam Member is right on. Ask for a referral to an MS specific neurologist. Unfortunately your disease can be from a collection of maladies. Running tests to determine which disease you have is frustrating or at least it was for me. The only thing I learned over my MS journey was to keep checking until you think it's solved. It sure sounds like MS to me but I'm not a doctor and would be over matched with your issues. (not that your current doctor doesn't seem to be in the same boat)
