Eat bananas, that can often help.
Interesting all the different treatments for RLS. My doctor checked my Ferritin level (iron stores) and it was extremely low. Put on iron supplements, problem solved. Mine was so bad I wore a hole in the bottom sheet!!! I laughed...it must be bad then...!
I added potassium to the magnesium supliments to help with RLS.
I had it for awhile n was given muscle relaxers which didn't help. I too learned of Magnesium deficiancy, which later found I was severely low in among a few others. Since starting magnesium I haven't had any real issues with it. But I also smoke my canabis too. Between the Magnesium n canabis I've been good so far...that was 7 years ago.
Magnesium is taken daily and what amount works well for me won't be enough for you or could be too much. I suggest you start with 250 mgs and go up from there. I personally take 600 to 700mgs daily depending on medications. Steroids, antibiotics can drop your magnesium levels so you'll need to take more. Your body will tell you the right dose for you.
