I have RRMS. MRI and ultrasound reveal nothing substantial. 2 small liver hemangiomas. No abdominal pain, no ascites, no bowel issues, no nausea. Pretty much status quo with the exception of elevated liver enzymes. The only thing that’s changed this past year was starting Zeposia. Anyone else on Zeposia have this happen to them?
What does that mean it was working good for you. I have had MS since 1972 with no DMT's - I am now SPMS because the exacerbations didn't remit. I wouldn't say the risk of liver complications (bad) is outweighed by "working (good) for me".
HOW DO THEY (you) KNOW? I was getting MRIs every two years with no additional lesions to report since 1992 after my last one in 1989 when I went to SPMS. Now I am getting off Ampyra and Baclofen for walking better. I am getting an exercise coach to help as a "spotter" to build my strength (weak from sitting all day) since my disabled husband died 4 years ago. Resting is not earned from his care! (edit) I meant Caring for my husband didn't give me rest. Just relief when he died (for him and me).
Yes, I’ve been on Zeposia since November 2023 and my liver enzymes have increased from 19 to 59 and my GFR decreased slightly but my PCP and Neurologist are ok with the changes right now especially since the med is working good for me.
Elevated liver enzymes can be a side effect of Zeposia (Ozanimod), as noted in its FDA-approved label. While your MRI and ultrasound findings are reassuring, it's important to monitor liver function regularly while on Zeposia.
