I stopped all DMT'S. I thought 40 years of poisons was enough. My Neurologist agrees bc I haven't had any active lesionsns in years. Rather die drug free than die bc of dugs!πŸ˜‰

My current Neurologist agrees with my previous Neurologist. They both have said that the DMTs are no longer effective for "me". I emphasize "me" because they have been adamant that MS is different for everyone. I am 69 and have shown no progression on my MRI for several years. I am SPMS and my MS has gotten much worse in the last 5 years. But I am saving a ton of money and I have chosen to trust the Team that is taking care of me right now.

Diagnosed at age 47, I am 61 now and I stopped myself because of the side effects from Avonex that were supposed to stop after 6 months I was told and lasted for the like 10 years or so of injecting it and I haven't had any new lesions at all but I do have flare ups due to not keeping my stress level down. πŸ€” I have been Avonex free for about 5 years or so as of 2025!!! πŸ‘

It's all about money with most doctors.
