I do not have family. I have bladder issueswhich makes work hard. I can teach meditation classes. Where do I go and how can I survive? are there resources to help us? I can walk so you know ss is like you are still alive no help for you. I am 53 and just want peace.
Hi Aliya-I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. I hear that you want help finding financial support. I totally understand that is a hard thing to worry about when you’re dealing with it on your own, but there are things you can do. I just don’t want you to forget about yourself. Being in an emotional abusive and neglectful marriage for 25 years can be so stressful. Especially for your MS. Have you ever talked professionally to someone about your situation. For me and my own situation, counseling has helped me tremendously. I am 62, have been on Copaxone for 22 years. Have been on my own for 3 years, after a 25 year marriage. I use a walker, rollator, canes have fatigue throughout the day, extreme back pain. I do what I can, but learned not to overdo it. It’s not easy to start putting yourself first. Once you start, you’ll see how much time you spend doing things you enjoy doing and just maybe start finding that peace you’ve been searching for. All the best to you.
HI there, what a predicament you're in! Start online classes, start a podcast, stay with a friend if you have one if not, find womens' shelters, contact MS organizations and see if there's legal and financial ways to help you.
By the way, I was 39 when I divorced. I am now 53. It took awhi;le after the divorce for me to believe I was worth buying a new pair of work boots. Get my hair done. Maybe a pedicure. Go to lunch with a friend. You may be miserable now, but you wont realize just how miserable you were, until you begin to heal and reflect back. Love yourself, God does!
